The Goat House Sauna

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to (1) your use of our website and (2) all bookings and attendance at The Goat House Sauna. By making a booking or attending, you agree to these Terms.
“We/Us/Our” means The Goat House Sauna.
“You/Your” means the person making a booking and/or any attendee.
“Session” means the booked sauna/cold plunge experience.
“Facilities” means the wood‑fired sauna, cold plunges, shower areas, changing areas and seating area.
2.1 Bookings must be made in advance via our approved booking system and are subject to availability.
2.2 Prices shown at the time of booking apply to that booking. We may update prices at any time for future bookings.
2.3 Your booking is confirmed once you receive a confirmation email. You are responsible for checking the date/time and details are correct.
3.1 Reschedule/cancel window: You may reschedule your Session up to 8 hours before the scheduled start time.
3.2 Within 8 hours: Changes, cancellations, refunds or credits are not available within 8 hours of the Session start time.
3.3 No‑shows: If you do not attend, this will be treated as a no‑show and no refund/credit will be due.
3.4 Late arrivals: If you arrive late, your Session may be shortened to protect other bookings and site timings. We are not obliged to extend Session time. If your late arrival materially impacts safe operation, we may refuse entry without refund.
3.5 Where your confirmation email contains booking‑type specifics (e.g., individual vs group), those details form part of the booking contract.
4.1 Group bookings are limited to a maximum of 8 people.
4.2 The person who makes the booking is responsible for ensuring all attendees understand and follow these Terms and all on‑site instructions.
5.1 Adults only: Under‑18s are not permitted.
5.2 You must not attend under the influence of alcohol or drugs. We may refuse entry on safety grounds.
5.3 We may refuse entry or remove a guest for unsafe behaviour, harassment, failure to follow instructions, or rule breaches. In such cases, no refund is due.
6.1 Sauna bathing and cold immersion involve inherent risks. You are responsible for ensuring you are medically fit to participate.
6.2 Do not use the Facilities if you have uncontrolled high blood pressure, significant heart disease, recent stroke, severe circulatory disorders, fever/infection, open wounds, or if you are under the influence of alcohol/drugs.
6.3 Pregnancy: Sauna and cold immersion may pose risks. Do not participate unless cleared by a healthcare professional and within advised limits.
6.4 Medications/conditions: Some medicines and chronic conditions can affect heat/cold tolerance. If in doubt, seek medical advice before attending.
7.1 Follow all host guidance on seating, steam (löyly), pacing, and safe movement between areas.
7.2 Hydrate before/during/after; avoid alcohol for at least 24 hours before and after Sessions.
7.3 Sensible limits: typically 6–12 minutes per heat round with full cool‑downs; exit immediately if dizzy, short of breath, nauseous, confused, or unwell.
7.4 Cold plunges: enter gradually; exit if you experience uncontrolled shivering, numbness, pain, or discolouration.
7.5 Breathing: breathe steadily; do not hyperventilate.
7.6 Hygiene: rinse/shower before use; sit on a towel in the sauna.
7.7 Emergency: first aid is available on site. In an emergency we will call 112/999.
8.1 As a wood‑fired outdoor venue, temperatures and conditions can vary. We do not guarantee exact sauna or plunge temperatures at all times.
8.2 You must take extra care on outdoor surfaces, particularly in wet/icy conditions.
9.1 Personal belongings are brought at your own risk. We are not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal items.
9.2 You are responsible for any damage you cause to the Facilities or property and may be charged for repair/replacement.
10.1 By attending, you confirm you understand the risks of heat and cold exposure and agree to take responsibility for your wellbeing and to follow all safety guidance.
10.2 Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your statutory consumer rights.
10.3 Subject to clause 10.2, we are not liable for losses arising from misuse of the Facilities, failure to follow instructions, or failure to disclose relevant health issues.
11.1 We may amend or cancel Sessions due to safety, weather, maintenance, or operational reasons. Where we cancel, we will offer a reschedule or refund (at our discretion depending on circumstances and your preference).
11.2 We are not responsible for indirect losses (e.g., travel costs) where a Session is cancelled for safety/operational reasons.
12.1 Website content is owned by us (or our licensors) and may not be copied or used without permission.
12.2 We may suspend or restrict access to the website for maintenance, security, or operational reasons.
Your personal data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and Cookies Policy (available on our website).
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland and disputes are subject to the Irish courts.
